The agency
Independence is the whole product.
A captive agent can only sell one brand, whatever it costs you this year. Nora Shieldrow built the agency on the alternative: a dozen-plus carriers, paid roughly the same by all, so the only thing steering the recommendation is the fit.
How we work
The market, not a logo
Your risk quoted across the carrier panel, every time — at purchase and again when renewals misbehave.
Dollars, not adjectives
Deductibles, gaps, and limits modeled in actual dollars. If a recommendation can't survive being explained plainly, it isn't one.
On your side at claim time
We tell you honestly whether to file, then stay on the adjuster until the math comes out right. That's what the agent is for.
Nora Shieldrow, principal agent
She left a captive desk with a list of everyone it couldn't help.
Nora spent seven years at a captive agency keeping a private list: households whose renewals she couldn't fix because the answer lived at a carrier she wasn't allowed to sell. Shieldrow opened in 2012 with that list as its first call sheet. The agency now reviews every client's renewal before it lands, files the paperwork when switching wins, and keeps a standing rule that no one is ever talked into coverage they can't explain back.
