The science
Fear sells pest control. Identification solves it.
Most of this industry bills your adrenaline: quote the panic, spray the visible, schedule the recurrence. Ivy Wardvale built the company on the boring alternative — figure out the species, find the colony, treat the cause, warranty the result.
How we work
Species before sprays
Free photo IDs, an entomology lead on staff, and treatments matched to biology — because the right treatment for the wrong bug is just an invoice.
No extinction for sale
Mosquitoes get reduced, not eradicated; inactive termite damage gets named, not billed. Honest scope costs us sales and earns us decades.
Re-treats without debate
Covered pests between visits mean a free same-week re-treat. Last month: 3 requests across 214 plan homes — the promise works because the first treatment does.
Ivy Wardvale, entomology lead & owner
She studied insects. Then studied the industry that fights them badly.
Ivy came out of an entomology program into an industry that mostly didn't want the science — fear closed sales faster than identification did. Wardvale opened in 2015 as the counter-example: published prices, free photo IDs, inspections that sometimes cancel treatments, and techs trained to explain the why before the what. The re-treat rate is the company's favorite statistic because it measures the thing that matters: whether the first visit actually worked.
- TDA-licensed applicators · EPA-registered products
- Certified entomology lead on staff — photo IDs answered free
- Exterior-first treatment philosophy; pets and play areas mapped
- Termite reports in writing, with photos — always
- Est. 2015 · 352 homes · re-treat rate ~1.4% and falling
Judge us by one identification.
Text us the bug that's worrying you. The ID is free, the advice is honest, and sometimes the answer is 'that one's harmless — name it.'
